I’m Hud Hudson, founder and owner of HTH Property Solutions. I have lived in Tulsa, OK since 1982. My wife Carolina is from Sweden, and we have four children who are my pride and joy. My wife, three daughters and son have given me a meaning to life that I could not have imagined prior to their arrival. When I wake up every day, I know each one of them is going to make me smile, laugh, love and scream. It is very exciting and lots of fun having them in this world. Carolina is a professional wife and mother, capable of doing the impossible several times per day and without enough sleep.
I am a K-12 graduate of Union Public Schools and graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor’s degree in microbiology in 2003. I spent four years working in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida as a Forensic DNA Analyst and got bored working in a lab with a bunch of test tubes, so I accepted an exciting opportunity to work for a software company, traveling the US and abroad as a business analyst for the company. After eight years and one million miles of travel I was assigned to work on a software project in Tulsa at Williams Energy Co. Williams hired me as a full-time employee a year and a half into the project and I enjoyed six years with the company, spending my last three as a Category Manager in the Supply Chain department. There I learned to strategically source and procure products and services that add value to the supplier relationships and to the bottom line. As a side hustle, I began acquiring and renovating homes in Tulsa and converting them to rental properties. I really enjoyed the hands-on work and learning to master all the trades that go into construction and remodeling, and I liked having the excuse to buy lots of tools. As much as I enjoyed doing the work myself, my career at Williams was my priority, so I began hiring tradesmen to help me finish the home renovations. It took some time to find the truly skilled craftsmen, but patience paid off and now the tradesmen are my trade partners. People began to notice the work we were doing and started asking me to do work for them. Eventually the remodeling and renovation work became so steady that I had to make a decision about my career. Williams helped make that decision when they announced during a reorganization that they were seeking volunteers to take a severance package. After much prayer and careful thought, my wife and I decided to take the severance package and start HTH Property Solutions, offering our community reliable services of the highest quality in construction and remodeling, home maintenance, and handyman repairs. Our core values of safety, quality, solutions, reliability, and collaboration are what make HTH Property Solutions a company that thrives on our work and great relationships with our customers.
